Festival of Sails Easter 2012
Sun, sand and sails will characterise celebrations at Redcliffe's Suttons Beach on Good Friday, April 6 2012 for the annual Redcliffe Festival of Sail.

Location: Suttons Beach - Marine Parade, Redcliffe
This colourful, seaside carnival runs in conjunction with the annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and has over a hundred specialty market and gourmet food stalls dotted along Suttons Beach. Entertainment includes live music, roving entertainers, an Easter pantomime, a parachuting Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunt on the beach, large sand sculpture and sand-sculpting workshops with world famous Sandman, Dennis Massoud plus the building of a huge sand labyrinth.
Another local festival celebrating the launch of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race is the
Sandgate Bluewater Festival.

On stage
The stage will be a hive of activity with an Easter pantomime, children's show, a ‘FretFest’ singer/songwriter showcase, Steven Jaymes Band and more (full program will be available soon).
Apart from stage entertainment there will also be roving entertainers and market musicians.

Markets & Food
Festival of Sails is renowned for its high quality food and market stalls.
The market area winds along Suttons Beach dotted with an eclectic range of stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery, interesting clothing, homewares and toys to specialty coffees and delicious deli delights.
If food is your thing, you’ll be spoiled for choice. A walk around the markets is like taking a trip around the world where spicy curries, wood-fired pizzas, french crepes and Spanish tapas run alongside our fresh seafood and delicious burgers.
Shuttle bus/extra parking
Free Parking is available at Redcliffe Showgrounds, Scarborough Road, Redcliffe. The free shuttle service will be running every 15 minutes from 8.30am - 5.00pm between Redcliffe Showgrounds and the Festival site at Marine Parade.
