Redcliffe Kitefest 2011

Dates: 14th May - 15th May 2011

Organised by the Redcliffe Kite Club Inc. The Redcliffe Kitefest is very popular and attracts Kite flyers from all over Australia. All types of kites with varying shapes and sizes turn up throughout the weekend, from Giant Trilobite, Mermaid, Frilly Lizard, Sun Flowers to name just a few.

Dual line formation team flying, Dual Line Kite Stacks, Kite trains, Kite Arches and Kite Line laundry fill up the sky with amazing colour. Crowds of around 20,000 each year are attracted to the amazing kites, specialty markets, food stalls and amusement rides..
